John Roution, Jr. completed his photography merit badge for Boy
Scouts.  While doing this he entered a picture of the church as his
photo project as an interesting community building in the 4-H Marion
County Fair.  It won a blue ribbon and was also chosen as best in class
and was sent to the 2006 Kentucky State Fair.  He earned a red
participation ribbon there.  In all John entered 6 photos and he won 4
blue ribbons and 2 best in class awards and most of all he had a lot of
fun doing all these pictures.  Photos below:

Carol Carrico received the honor of the 40-year-pin for her
Girl Scout Leadership in Lebanon-Marion County. She and her
family have 4 generations of scouting !!!!

The Church Mouse has prepared another Special
Report!!!  Pat Moddrelle's son, John Roseberry, is
serving in the Peace Corps through March of 2009.
 Pat and friends and family received an email
recently, which she has shared with us!

John Roution Jr. completed his requirements for the rank of Star.  
John is a member of Boy Scout Troop 90.  John Roution Sr. and John
Roution Jr. completed their ordeal at Camp Crooked Creek becoming
Brothers in Talligewi Lodge #62 Order of The Arrow.

Congratulations to Julie Young who was named Employee of the Year
at Spring View Hospital for 2007!  
And congrats to her good friends who were also nominated:

On December 15, 2007 Kevin Leake, Jr. had the honor
of placing  wreaths at the Lebanon National Cemetery.
This was part of Wreaths Across America, which
starts at Arlington National Cemetery and moves
across the United States.

A former church member and artist, Wallace Kelly, has had
a film he made about Lebanon in the 1940's archived in the
Library of Congress.  This is quite an honor for the Kelly
Family, for Lebanon, and for our church, as Mr. Kelly was
the artist who drew the sketch of UPC that has graced our
bulletins and letterhead for decades!
Hey Church Family!  I need some news!  I'm still processing the
photos I took in 2007 and creating a collage for you!  But news is
sooooo slow right now!  I think you're keeping things from me, so get
the scoop to me ASAP!!!!!!!

Rev. Murray participated as an auctioneer Saturday, April
28th at an auction on Linda Avenue, here in Lebanon.  
Murray is working toward his licence as an auctioneer and
that put him one step closer!
Ellen Kessler will be going on a mission trip to Nicaragua
from June 14-27 with the group from Go International.
Please pray for her safe trip and return
And congrats to Ellen Kessler on completing English as a
Second Language (ESL) Training
