The Order of the Cross, the High School Youth Group, has registered to receive funds from GoodSearch. Every time you do a routine web search at GoodSearch, our Youth Group earns a penny. If enough of us use the search tool, we can earn our Youth Group a substantial paycheck over time. A link to Good Search has been added to the UPC homepage. Click there, or anytime you see either of the links to the right, and then do a web search as you would from any other search engine! You can also add the GoodSearch Toolbar to your Internet Explorer Bar by clicking that link at the GoodSearch HomePage. Or add the GoodSearch site to your favorites or bookmarks. GoodSearch is powered by Yahoo, so your results should be great!

CALLING ALL MEMBERS!!!!! 2008 is well underway but it is not too late to do your duty as a member and serve on a Church Committee! It is greatly encouraged that all active members serve in some way - some older members serve as advisors, while younger members really do the dirty work! We need to grow our Church Family and in order to do this WE NEED YOUR IDEAS!!!! Church Committees are the best way to get your ideas out of your head and into action! Below you will find the new Session and their assignments. Find something that interests you or lines up with your ideas and contact that Elder and get on their committee!
CALL FOR HABITAT BOARD MEMBERS My New KY Habitat for Humanity Affiliate is a partnership of Marion, Washington, and Nelson Counties and each county is represented by 5-7 board members. Presently, Marion County only has 3 board members. Up to 4 more board members from Marion County are needed. The board meets monthly and member responsibilities involve monitoring the selection of new home owners, nurturing of existing home owners, and assisting with the building of new homes in each individual county every third year. The Board is asking for members of your church to prayerfully consider the call to volunteering to represent Marion County on the New KY Habitat Board. For more information, Please call Bruce Hayes, 692-9001 evenings.
In the next few weeks, be prepared for a lot of pane. Actually, lots of panes! The church is getting new windows! The old windows have served us for years, but many are now very drafty, broken or cracked and in need of replacement. All windows in the church, except for the beautiful stained glass windows, of course, will be replaced with new energy efficient windows that will enhance the outward appearance of our church facility. Not only that, but we will see a difference in our utility bills (an estimated 25% savings beginning immediately). We'll also notice that the temperature inside the building will be more constant. No more wondering if we need a sweater, a light jacket, or our sauna suits for Sunday morning activities! Thanks to our property committee for their watchful care over the church facility and their work in getting this much needed update completed.

MEMORIAL DAY FLAGS All our Sunday School children are invited to go to the National Cemetery to place flags on the headstones for the Memorial Day Holiday. We will meet at the cemetery on Saturday, May 24th at 8:00 AM.
