Part-time Employment Opportunity
for an
Organist or Pianist
The United Presbyterian Church, located at 157 East Main Street in Lebanon,
KY has an opening for a pianist/organist to lead our congregation with music for
both traditional and contemporary hymns.  We are a small but vibrant
congregation with a choir and two very high quality instruments:

    - A pipe organ that was completely rebuilt 12 years ago by Weber Pipe
Organ Company (and still maintained by the same), bringing it up to concert
standards and making it an outstanding instrument for sacred music.

    - A fine grand piano.

The Pianist/Organist would be responsible for the music of the Sunday Worship
Service at 11:00 AM, possibly each week, possibly every other week and
completely negotiable currently.  Also, Choir Practice during the week/month, by
agreement/schedule.  Availability for Vacation Bible School during the summer,
leading the music activities for the children, would be required.

Start Date: Immediate or as mutually agreed upon.

Salary:
currently is negotiable, with a review after 90 days.

The Hymnals used at UPC:

Left -
Lift Up Your Hearts - Is a contemporary hymnal.

Right -
The Presbyterian Hymnal - a standard publication of the PC(USA) and the
first hymnal to use inclusive language.

We also retain copies of a Presbyterian Hymnal from 40 years ago and can be used on
occasion.  We also will add copies of hymns to the Bulletin from some very ancient
hymn books.
